2020 has been a challenging year, for us all. Over the past months, we have been working diligently to create an alternative to our annual bazaar. Our goal has been to ensure a safe environment for our volunteers, parish families, and patrons while also providing the opportunity to celebrate our Faith culture. In the current climate of COVID-19, we realize there is no feasible way to put proper precautions in place, while maintaining the environment our participants know and love. So, unfortunately, it is not to be and therefore, the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 St. Matthias Annual Bazaar. Health and safety concerns, as well as financial uncertainties for so many, are our overriding priority. We felt this was the safest and most responsible decision we could make, for all involved. The financial loss from the cancellation this year, will be a major challenge for us. But, our community and the countless volunteers who make this event happen are resilient and we will be back next year, stronger than ever.
We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to serving you at our annual bazaar in 2021. Please be on the look-out for ways in which you and your family can help and contribute to our 2021 efforts.
